Beast of Jersey Statue to be placed at Haute De La Garrenne

A statue of notorious criminal The beast of Jersey is to be placed at the former children's home Haute de La Garenne.

The statue is supposed to be a reminder of states failings in the child care system and to remember those who suffered as a result, but frankly no one wants it anyway because building a statue that remembers child abuse is totally fucking pointless.

The cost of the statue is £200,000 which could be far better spent on mental health services, adequate training for Jersey social services, but no, "a statue to commemorate child abuse is a far better use of money than investment in proper training which will ensure protection of future generations" said the children's minister"
