Cenotaph to be lit with rainbow colours to commemorate LGBT soldiers

The Parish of St Helier have confirmed that the Cenotaph is to be lit with an LGBT rainbow to commemorate the lives and diversity of our armed services.

“It’s about time we think” said the constable St Helier. “This island must move forward with the times and 2019 is the perfect time to start moving a 100-year-old tradition forward into the modern age”

The rainbow cenotaph will start from around the beginning of February once the lights have been fitted.
